Guys, first off, I want to apologize for not being more active on here lately. My other job has kept me extremely busy as of late, but it's getting back to normal, so I'll be back posting more regular updates each week. I wanted to catch up with some of UC's more recent visitors and my first is with Northmont (OH) three-star receiver Da'Lin Wilkins.

Wilkins has 11 offers, including from Kentucky, West Virginia and most of the MAC. But interestingly, no UC offer. I will say, after talking with him, I think the Bearcats would be in the lead if they had offered. And I don't think the staff is sure about him, so hence, no offer. But, I know UC has increased its contact, which leads me to think if he's still available by this summer, he'll get a Bearcats offer.

Wilkins visited UC on March 8. He got a tour of the facilities, tried on the uniforms and watched spring practice when he went. And I think he was quite impressed. Wilkins talked about the coaches all being caring and thoughtful, but I love this quote: "There wasn’t a time that someone walked past and didn’t say hi. It just seems complete." That's one of the reasons I think UC would be in the lead and I think the staff knows that, so it wants to make sure before offering.

Assistant coach Josh Stepp has been the main contact, though Wilkins said he's also talked with offensive coordinator Brad Glenn since Glenn arrived last month. The one thing Wilkins didn't say much about and I wasn't pressing, is that the coaches haven't talked about an offer. But again, I think it'll come late spring or early summer.

On April 4, Wilkins is visiting West Virginia, but it doesn't sound like there's been a ton of contact there, so I wouldn't be too concerned there. The only other recent visit was the week before UC, Wilkins went to Miami (OH). He said the coaches showed him he's fourth overall on their board for 2023, which made him feel good. But again, I don't see the pull there either.

Interesting to see how long UC waits and how long Wilkins is willing to wait on UC. A lot of things can happen, so it's a wait and see, but Wilkins is absolutely one to keep an eye on.

FB Recruiting Cameron Clark Update

Hey all, this is a follow-up to a previous INsider, but story on three-star tight end Cameron Clark from Tennessee. UC in decent position, but we'll know more if the Bearcats can get him up for a spring practice:

Hoops Nolley First Team AAC, DeJulius Third

Kinda surprised DeJulius wasn’t at least second team. Release from UC:

Cincinnati men's basketball fifth-year guards Landers Nolley II and David DeJulius were named to the American Athletic Conference's First and Third Teams, respectively, for their performances this season.

The duo helped lead Cincinnati to its 40th, 20-win season in school history, and they have also scored 20-plus points in the same game five times this season, all of which were wins.

Nolley, first-year member of the program, is theUC's eighth First-Team honoree in its decade-long tenure in the AAC, including the first sinceJarron Cumberland and Tre Scott in 2020. Nolley leads the Bearcats with 16.5 ppg that includes 10, 20-point games, highlighted by a career-high 33 against No. 12 Arizona in Maui.Nolley's 42.3 three-point percentage leads the AAC and is 13th nationally.

The Atlanta native has produced career-best numbers in minutes (31.9), field-goal percentage (46.4), three-point percentage (42.3), assists (83), steals (32) and scoring (16.5). Nolley also had five double-doubles, all in conference play, in addition to 21-straight double-figure scoring games. He previously earned First-Team All-AAC honors at Memphis in 2021 and was an ACC All-Freshman performer at Virginia Tech in 2020.

DeJulius was a Third-Team honoree last year and recently became UC's 35th 1,000-point scorer to hit the milestone within three years. His minutes (32.4), field-goal percentage (44.1), three-point percentage (37.8), free-throw percentage (84.1), assists (163, an increase of 77 from last year) and scoring (15.1 ppg) all follow increased trends over his three years with the program.

DeJulius (1,121 points as a Bearcat) currently leads the nation with 16 consecutive games of five or more assists, boasting the best overall UC average (5.3 per contest) since consensus First-Team All-American Steve Logan in 2002. He has four contests in conference play with nine or more assists, including 12 against ECU for Cincinnati's first assists double-double since Troy Caupain in 2016. The Detroit product scored a career-high 30 points in his Senior Day over SMU, joining Nolley as the first UC teammates with 30-point outings in the same season since Deonta Vaughn and Marvin Gentry in 2006-07.

Hey guys, I caught up with one of UC's recent offers, 2024 three-star tight end Cameron Clark. He's approaching 25 offers, with a ton of big schools involved there.

UC just offered Clark on Feb. 14, so it's still relatively recent. Assistant coach Walter Stewart is who made the offer and has been the primary contact. But Clark said he also talks a lot with Jack Griffith, the Bearcats director of player personnel. So far, i think the returns for UC have been positive. But he hasn't visited yet and didn't list the Bearcats as one he was going to visit coming up.

Coming up, Clark told me his planned schedule. He'll spend March 3 at Notre Dame, March 4 at Purdue, March 25 at Vanderbilt, April 8 at Duke and April 15 at Mississippi State. I do get the sense that Tennessee might be the top option right now, though I'm not sure how high Clark is on the Vols' board. If they make much of a push, I can easily see him going there.

Virginia Tech is another one I'd watch, as well as Notre Dame and Vandy. Clark is a smart kid and I can see the Vandy education, plus being close to home as being hard to beat.

Long way to go here, but as always,it's about whether or not UC can get this kid on campus this spring. Full story coming.
