Cincinnati will go bowling again this year, while the CFP seems out of the picture, several outlets have the Bearcats in New Year’s 6 talk:
ACTION: UC vs USC (Cotton)
CBS: UC vs BYU (Armed Forces)
ESPN: UC vs TCU/UCLA (Cotton)
You’ll take a NY6 bowl any day of the week, but for fans, travel, etc, I’d prefer to see the Bearcats someone other than the Cotton Bowl. Just my two cents. Long season ahead.
At this point, Cincinnati controls it’s own destiny to get into a NY6. As the highest ranked non-power 5 school, a one loss record would put them back in the national spotlight come NYE.
