Guys, I apologize for being kinda late on this, just been a little busy. Finally had a chance a few minutes ago to talk to Lake (OH) TE commit Dylan O'Quinn, who announced he flipped from Western Michigan to UC on Sunday.

O'Quinn actually committed Saturday night when it was storming late in the Bearcats' game against UCF. He went into assistant coach Joker Phillips' office just after the game was called and gave his commitment. He just waited until Sunday to announce.

O'Quinn told me how he'll be mostly a blocking tight end. He said coach Luke Fickell told him he wants to run more two TE sets, with O'Quinn and Josh Whyle. How he would be used overall is a huge part of the decision, as are the athlete apartments and the convenience of UC's location.

Perhaps the biggest part of the decision, though, is that O'Quinn's uncle, John O'Quinn played at UC in the early 1990s for then assistant coach John Harbaugh. John O'Quinn is still in the Cincinnati area and Dylan said he liked the thought of seeing his uncle more and being nearby in case he needed something.

Really like this kid. Well-spoken and has a good head on his shoulders. Might be one of those diamonds in the rough that a ton of teams looked over.

Full story coming tomorrow.
