Made it up to camp higher ground today and wanted to let people know about some of the things i saw and thought while watching practice.
FB Lindsay Crook had some type of temp cast on his hand and did not practice and WR Tsumbi Johnson had some knee issue and get not practice. Also FB E.J. Junior & CB Aaron Brown left practice early but it didn't seem to be anything major with either. LB Ey'shawn Mcclain also left early and he believed he had broken his hand. QB Situation - Gunner Kiel took all of the first team reps during place and look very good. Seemed to like to target WR Chris Moore and TE Jake Golic. Jarred Evans and Munchie Leguax split 2nd team reps with Munchie going first. This is where there seems to be a battle. Kiel looks to have starter locked up and by practice today Evans had a couple of really good passes while Munchie seemed to be over throwing his targets. Hayden Moore took all of the 3rd team reps and looked pretty solid for a freshmen. Interesting Note- MIke Golic from ESPN's Mike & Mike in the Morning was on the sideline the entire practice watching the team. The WR group is by far the most solid group on the team. 3 that stood out were Alex Chisum, Johnny Holton, and Casey Gladney. All three played on 2nd or 3rd team. I'm interested in GLadney had multiple one handed catchs and his speed and agility after catch is insane.There is atleast 10 players on this team that can start or play a good amount of game time. Should be helpful in the season keeping fresh legs against tired DB. First day of full pads and there was a good amount of hitting. The hitting was not done in live play tho in was more in small space drills. The best was the o-line vs d-line. Prunty had no problem getting loud and pulling a player who was not meeting his standards. Runningbacks- Tion Green and Hosey Williams split time with the ones while Mike Boone and Rod More shared 2nd team reps.Ralph David Abernathy did not take a single snap at RB. Was with the WRs the entire practice running with the 2nd and 3rd team. Still on going kicking battle between Tony Miliano and Andy Gatz,TEs- There are only 4 TE in camp with Jake Golic, Tyler Cogswell, and Dj Dowdy all sharing first team reps. There is a Virginia tranfer TE Jeremy Dollin but he didnt see the amount of time the other three did.Also it no longer looks like Chase Robison will be transfer to UC.
