Guys, I talked a bit earlier with Miamsburg (OH) 2023 three-star OL AJ Salley. He's got 8 offers to this point, including from UC, Tennessee, Oregon, Pittsburgh and Kentucky.

Salley visited UC with his teammates, Christian Davis and Jackson McGohan. on July 28. They were also in Clifton on June 1 for the midnight madness event, as well as later in the month for another visit. Salley said they've all talked about committing somewhere and playing together at the college level. That would be a HUGE coup for someone. And right now, I think the Bearcats are the clear leader, certainly for Salley. He told me he's talked a lot with the recruiting staff and a bit with assistant coach Ron Crook, whom he also likes.

In addition to wanting to play with his teammates and their three visits, Salley also said he wants to stay close to home. He mentioned 'proximity' as a big factor.

Other than UC, the school that's offered that Salley talked most about was Tennessee. He's been to UT and loved the facilities. Salley went to others this summer, like Notre Dame, Michigan State and Ohio State, but none of those have offered. If the Buckeyes were to offer, that would really be one to watch. I'm not sure if that will happen though. They told him they want him to add weight, like 15 pounds or so. I mean, it could happen, but just based on how he talked, I'm not sure he thinks so.

Coming up, Salley said he and his two other teammates will be at UC's season-opener against Miami (OH). Salley said past that, he'll probably visit other schools by himself. No set dates, but he wants to see games at Tennessee, Penn State and Michigan State.

Full story coming.
