Guys, I talked earlier with another of Cincinnati's official visitors from last week, Pickerington North (OH) three-star receiver Chris Scott. He's got a pair of visits coming up to a couple of contenders that should also be monitored.

Important to note that what will also effect Scott's visits is that he's a three-sport athlete, also playing basketball and running track. So with his commitments to both, he's a bit more limited. And that's also why he hasn't taken a ton of visits to this point.

This past weekend, Saturday through Monday, was Scott's fourth time at UC. The other three times were for a game last fall, camp last summer, an unofficial visit this spring, then the official. He told me the last three were his only times being in UC's facilities, so he still enjoyed getting a good look at 'em. And this past weekend, Scott said he really liked being in the dorms, talking with the players and really sitting down with the coaches.

Specifically, Scott said he spent a lot of time and talked with assistant coach Mike Brown, who would be his position coach at receiver. And that was really the first time they've sat down and talked in-depth. "The receivers coach, he’s fairly new," Scott told me. "But he told me how he sees me fitting there. They didn’t sugarcoat it. They said, When you come here, you have an opp to play right away if you do what you’re supposed to do."

Maybe somewhat surprisingly, Scott said defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman has been the one he's heard the most from and that's been increasingly more. But Scott said he believes it's because of Freeman's ties to his area and also because Scott previously grew up around Dayton and played at Wayne, Freeman's alma mater. So they've had that in common.

Overall, I think the Bearcats are in excellent shape here. Scott really perked up talking about, and said he was very intrigued by the high GPA that UC has had. And he told me, "It’s one of those positions I can see myself being in."

So on Monday, Scott will make his first visit to West Virginia. And next Wednesday, he told me he's looking at camping at Kentucky, but is unsure of that. No other officials are set, but Scott said he'll likely make Iowa State his second stop. It's hard to know when Scott will actually make a decision. he pointed to the start of his senior season, Aug. 16, as a date he hopes to know by, but said he'd go further if he needed to. I think it depends on what visits he gets in. But UC already getting him on campus for an official, with the big-time guys who were with him, is huge.

Full story coming.
