Guys, I mentioned in another INsider that he's visiting UC on Nov. 2 & 3 for the Navy game, but wanted to provide more info on Parkview (Ga.) 2021 running back Cody Brown. He only has a Virginia Tech offer at the moment, but I think if he does visit for that game, he'll likely leave with an offer. Clemson, Purdue and Auburn have also reached out.
Brown told me he's been getting letters from Cincinnati for a while now. He told me the Bearcats have been sending mail since last year. Originally, he had no interest, but UC has picked up with one of Brown's teammates, 2020 OL Jackson Walls. Brown, along with Walls and 2021 OL Zach Nerbonne, all sound like good friends. So since Walls has heard more, Brown said he's interested, too.
We think it’s a great opportunity to see the campus, see if everything is right," Brown told me. He doesn't know a lot about UC, but the fact that they've been on him for a while, and he has another teammate who's drawn interest, Brown is at least intrigued.
Brown can't say a ton right now, because schools are extremely limited in how they can contact recruits as young as he is right now. Still, the fact he wants to visit is a great sign and will give the coaches the chance to talk to him on campus, have him see the gameday atmosphere at Nippert Stadium. DEFINITELY keep an eye on this kid. He's gonna have a lot more offers likely after the season.
