Hey guys, I just got off the phone a little bit ago with one of UC's targets for 2023, Central Gwinnett (Ga.) three-star linebacker Denzel Moore. He told me he's at 31 offers and was committed to Indiana from March to May.
Moore told me he'll be at UC Nov. 6 for the game against Tulsa, also the Bearcats' homecoming. That will be his first time in Clifton, but he told me his great grandmother and grandfather live just outside of Cincinnati, so he's been to the city a few times. Moore told me with UC, he likes the culture, the coaching and the fans. He also cited the move to the Big 12 as something that he believes will put the program, and in turn, could put guys like him in a good position.
Assistant coach Mike Brown has been the primary recruiter here. And it sounds like they have a good relationship. Moore likes that Brown was one of the first coaches to reach out and say how truly great he believes moore can be. Sounds like that, as well as consistent communication has gone a long way.
This past weekend, Moore was at Buffalo for a visit. That might seem random, but he was actually born there and moved to Atlanta when he was 10. So, he still has a lot of family in Buffalo and he said he genuinely is considering that program. On Oct. 30, Moore said he'll be at Michigan for a visit. That's the one that has me wondering, will the Wolverines make a push? If yes, that could be a contender. If not, I think UC is currently in the drivers seat. Moore is really looking forward to that Nov. 6 trip. Indiana is still in the mix, but I don't really think the Hoosiers are involved much.
