Guys, I haven't really talked much about it, but I live close to one of the Bearcats' recent commitments, Alcoa (Tenn.) three-star athlete Isiah Cox. I have plenty of family in the Cincinnati area, so I'm up frequently, but not often I can go down the road for coverage for this site.
Not sure if it's been widely covered, but Cox suffered a season-ending injury a week and a half ago, on senior night. His team is still going in the playoffs. This week is the second round in Tennessee. Cox told me he separated his shoulder, specifically the S-C joint and fractured his ribs, the area close to his shoulder. He has his right arm in a sling, but told me doctors have told him he can get back going in about six weeks. So, setback now, but especially with him being set on UC, he'll have plenty of time to get back going in the spring, then head to UC next summer.
I'll post the full video interview with Cox in the next day or two, but wanted to give a heads up it's coming.
