Guys, I didn't get a chance to post this last night, but I spoke with Ballard (Ky.) 2019 LB Jared Casey. Has a Cincy offer and visited Saturday for the Marshall game. Also has an offer from Purdue.

Before I even get into the Bearcats, this is a kid Purdue was first to identify and has been heavily in pursuit. I think they see that he's gonna take off a lot more than he has to this point. He's been to Purdue three times already, including the Michigan game. There's a lot of other schools involved, but the Boilers definitely got a jump here.
I used to live about two miles from Ballard HS when I lived in Louisville about six years ago. One of the better public schools in Louisville, including athletics. Have certainly produced a few guys through the years.
As far as with Cincy, that was the first Bearcats game Casey had been to. Seeing the dorms and living situation seems to be what's impressed him the most. I've had a few guys tell me that before, too. Casey said he also liked talking with his primary recruiter, defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman. Sounds like they have a pretty strong relationship.
The biggest thing to keep in mind here is Casey tore his labrum in the spring and had surgery in June. He's been cleared to play in the final regular season game of the year and the playoffs if Ballard gets there. But he told me if they arent going to the playoffs, he's not sure if he'll risk playing.
So since he's not playing, he'll be taking more visits. Vanderbilt this weekend and the Indiana/Michigan game next weekend. Full story coming.
