Guys, just chatted with one of Cincinnati's last 2020 targets, Marian Central Catholic (Ill.) three-star DL Jayden Thiergood. The big thing here is he's down to a final two of Cincinnati and Air Force.

Well, the other big thing is he's officially visiting UC this weekend. He actually took an unofficial last month for the Temple game, so that should tell you something. It's not too often that you go head to head with a service academy, but that's what Thiergood told me he's down to.

The weather was rough the weekend of the Temple game and it sounds like that's the biggest reason he's taking his official. But he also wants to spend more time with assistant coach Chad Wilt and defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman. Both have him as a DT on the Bearcats' line. But Wilt also made an in-home visit with Thiergood last night and seems to really have impressed Thiergood and his mom.

Thiergood said he prefers to move around on the D-line, not just stay inside, which it sounds like Air Force would do. And he told me he wouldn't mind five years of service to have the education and paid tuition that he would receive. Officially visited Air Force back in August for its season-opener.

Interesting to see how this one goes. If it goes well, I think UC is the team to beat. But he also seems to like Air Force, so this weekend will ultimately decide things, which Thiergood said will likely be a commitment at the first of next week.

Full story coming, but we'll keep you posted.
