Hey all, I caught up with one of the Bearcats' recent offers, three-star safety Kahlil Ali, who now has 20 offers, after Wisconsin, UCONN and Akron offered over the past few days.

With UC, Ali said he'll be there for junior day Jan. 29. He's never been before, but said he likes the recent run of success, how it just played in the College Football Playoff and is headed to the Big 12. Ali has talked mostly with assistant coach Colin Hitschler, who offered him. Ali likes that Hitschler is from Philadelphia and is easy to talk to. He also likes how Hitschler has talked about how he'd fit in the defensive scheme.

This past weekends, Ali made two visits. He was at Pittsburgh Friday and West Virginia Saturday. He liked both and had a bit more to say about Pitt. His dad played at Temple and there's a connection with Narduzzi and his dad's coach. There's interest in WVU, but I don't think a ton right now.

Honestly, I get the sense that Ali wants a change of scenery. Meaning, he'd like to go south (he talked about how he hated snow) and that he wants to get away from the city. UC is obviously urban and not right downtown, so I'm not sure there. But it just seems like he wants something different.

Getting Ali on campus next weekend will be big. That might be the big thing to watch here right now. No visit plans for this coming weekend.

Full story coming.
