Guys, I talked with one of UC's visitors last weekend for the UCF game, Cass Tech (Mich.) 2023 TE Khamari Anderson. He was supposed to travel with his teammate, Rivals250 DE Jalen Thompson, but Anderson said Thompson did not make the trip. Something apparently came up.

Anderson is up to eight offers, most recently from Louisville and Purdue. And I get the sense he's a pretty big early target for UC in the 2023 class. This was his first visit to the city and campus and he said he loved watching the Bearcat Walk before the game. The thing Anderson kept talking about is that he loved seeing how much UC uses their tight ends. He told me he didn't think there was a play where at least one wasn't on the field.

I also get the sense of how important Anderson is because assistant coach Darren Paige started out as the lead recruiter. But offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock now talks to him more than any other coach. Denbrock also coaches tight ends, which helps, but Anderson said he loves how he feels like a priority. Anderson also talks almost daily with Max Stienecker in the recruiting office, whom Anderson said he also feels like has gotten to know quite well.

Anderson also visited Purdue, Toledo, Michigan and Michigan State for games this fall, but the latter two have not offered a scholarship. His brother, Raheem Anderson, is an OL for the Wolverines, so if that offer comes, that would be the one to really watch. But nothing yet.

I get the sense that UC is in an excellent position here with Khamari Anderson. He talked of returning for a visit soon, maybe not for a game, but after the season. If that happens, the Bearcats could really be in the driver's seat. No other visits planned as of now.
