Guys, I talked earlier with one of the Bearcats' newer offers, Lakota West (OH) 2023 athlete Malik Hartford. He told me today that Miami (OH) offered today, which gives him two total.

The offer from UC came last Sunday, when he visited for the day. He spent last Saturday at Kentucky, for the Wildcats' win over Missouri.

At UC, Hartford said he liked the environment and that, "I preferred Cincinnati, honestly." He also likes the thought of playing so close to home, where friends and family can easily watch him play. Hartford's primary recruiter has been assistant coach Colin Hitschler. Hartford said he liked that Hitschler has already been to one of his games and that they have a good relationship. They stay in contact on nearly a daily basis, which is another great sign.

I did ask Hartford what he thought about UC's move to the Big 12 and he told me, he likes the thought of more exposure with that move. He also believes it will result in more, better Name/Image/Likeness deals for players.

Hartford got the offer from Miami after he visited there for a game Saturday. He plans to be at Vanderbilt this Saturday for a game, then he's hoping to get to Notre Dame for the UC game. He'll be at Toledo after that.

Still pretty early here. But Bearcats in an EXCELLENT early position here. I think it'll be tough for anyone to overtake UC here, unless it's some big offers, like in the Big Ten.

Full story coming.
