Guys, I just spoke a few minutes ago with Peoria (Ill.) three-star guard Marques Cox. He visited Cincinnati Saturday and Sunday and was offered before he left for home.

Cox has 16 offers total, though most of them are smaller schools, like from the MAC, or FCS. His offers include Iowa State, New Mexico, Toledo and Northern Illinois.

I still get the feeling that Cox has no idea where he wants to go. He never really talked about one school too in-depth and even visited Illinois State, an FCS offer, the weekend before last. That's even though he has a handful of FBS offers, like the ones mentioned above.

Cox made the trek for the Bearcats' game against UCF. He said he spoke in-depth with offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and assistant coach Ron Crook. Cox told me, "They're cool in my eyes, good people" but didn't go into a ton of detail. He said they're still getting to know each other.

Cincinati is definitely a legit contender, though, since he visited to get the offer. That, and the offer was an unofficial visit. But he didn't go into much detail about his trip.

Cox also visited Iowa State for the Iowa game and Illinois State, as mentioned, but he hasn't taken any officials yet and said he probably won't until after the season. He's got a couple of Saturday games, which will also keep him from taking too many game visits. None are set right now and he told me he'll probably decide in February.

Full story coming.
