Hey guys, I caught up with one of UC's most recent visitors, three-star linebacker Rohan Davy. He was at UC Tuesday and yesterday, in the middle of a series of visits this week during his spring break. On Monday, he was at Louisville. This morning, he flew to West Virginia for a visit there and tomorrow, he'll be at NC State. So very busy couple of days.

The visit to UC was actually Davy's second. He also visited the Bearcats Jan. 29 and 30 for a junior day. This time, he said he met with and talked more with the current players, to ask them about their experiences. He also talked with the academic support team and got to see more of the help he'd get. Assistant coach Colin Hitschler is the primary recruiter here and that relationship is a solid one. Davy said he likes that Hitschler talks regularly about things other than football and gets to know him on a personal level. On this trip, though, Davy said they didn't talk as much, because he spent more time with defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Mike Tressel, which seems to have gone well.

Overall, Davy said he really enjoyed his visit to UC. He called the campus "beautiful" and said he loves that Nippert Stadium is in such a central location. Davy also told me, "Also, the Cincy fanbase, I’ve gotta love ‘em."

Louisville just offered a scholarship a few weeks ago, which is partly what prompted the visit, plus he could easily get there and to UC in the same trip. The one I'd really watch here is West Virginia. Davy said he has a lot of family that have attended and have WVU roots. NC State is kind of an outlier.

Davy tweeted yesterday that he's announcing his commitment on April 3, so these are likely his final visits before then. He doesn't have a top list, but this really seems to be between UC and West Virginia, with the others pushing as outsiders. Still a chance he could pick outside those main two, but we'll see.

Full story coming.
