Guys, I caught up with one of UC's new offers last week, 2022 three-star TE Ryan Miller. Still quite early here, as he has 9 total offers now, including one last week from Kentucky also.

The big thing here is Miller has taken zero campus visits for football. He's been to UC once, for a baseball tournament. But he's never been hosted by the Bearcats, seen the football facilities or anything to that extent. Just a quick look at campus and the baseball complex. So Miller said he doesn't know much, but likes that Travis Kelce and Josiah Deguara went on to the NFL from UC and also has some friends there that have said good things.

It's been a combination of Chad Bowden in the recruiting office and assistant coach Mike Denbrock so far. Miller also got a text message from coach Luke Fickell on Sept. 1, which he said he liked. Miller didn't have a ton to say, but said he really likes UC at this point.

I asked Miller about Kentucky, since that offer is also new. Again, hasn't been, but likes the recent success, what the Wildcats did with Lynn Bowden and where the program is overall.

This one is so brand new, more than just about every other kid I've talked to, because he just hasn't been anywhere. It's obvious he wasn't treating the UC baseball trip like a recruiting stop, so he doesn't remember a ton. That's not a negative, just at that point, I'm not sure if he had any football offers yet, so he wasn't in that mindset. So when he can ever take a visit, that could change things. I expect UC to get one of those first visits, based on what he was telling me.

Full story coming.
