Guys, I spoke a little earlier with one of UC's junior day visitors over the weekend, Toledo Central Catholic (OH) WR Tae'Shaun Johnson. No stars or ranking yet, but that should change soon. My guess is he'll be a low three-star (5.5).

Johnson was at UC Saturday and Miami (OH) on Sunday. With the Bearcats, it sounds like the visit went well. Johnson told me he liked touring campus, seeing the dorms, watching practice and meeting with his position coach, which in his case, is also his primary recruiter, Mike Brown.

With Brown, Johnson told me, "He’s a pretty real guy. He told me he’s not promising me anything, like I’ll start. He said I’ll have to come in and work if I wanna play."

But the biggest thing that I could tell Johnson was excited about is the history UC has with Toledo guys of late. That includes Mike Warren II, Todd Bumphis coming in and Brady Lichtenberg committed for next year. Johnson said it shows the success guys from his area can have there.

With Miami, I get the sense that the visit went well, but nothing that blew him out of the water. UC is competing with a host of MAC schools. Johnson told me he'll likely be at Kent State this coming weekend and is working on trips to Bowling Green and Akron.

I think UC is in a good spot here if it wants to pursue. Still would accept a commit at this point, but not pressing. So definitely a kid to follow.

Full story coming.
