Guys, I talked earlier to one of UC's more recent offers, 2022 WR Terrance Adams. Up to 6 offers now: UC, West Virginia, Pitt, Syracuse, Akron and Toledo.
So first off, I was surprised to hear that Adams said he's talked to UC just once, when the offer came last month. And he doesn't even remember who the coach was who offered. Adams sounds interested and eager to learn more. I know coaches even under normal circumstances couldn't have much communication with 2022 guys at this point. But Adams said the Bearcats are the only offer he has that has not come by his school, that he's at least seen in person.
The one school clearly in front here is West Virginia. He has former teammates there and that's the only visit he's been on, for the Texas game last fall. He made sure to tell me multiple times he has nothing to compare it to, so he doesn't want to call the Mountaineers favorites. But it's clear he loved that visit and he wants to go back.
Interest also with Pitt and Syracuse for sure. But WV is the one to watch. This one is by no means too late for UC to get back into. But there's a lot of work to be done here. I'm not sure where Adams is on the board, but it sounds like quite low. If that's not the case, much, much work to be done.
