Hey guys, I caught up with one of the Bearcats' most recent scholarship offers, 2024 Rivals250 running back Tre McLeod. UC just offered him on Monday.

McLeod has eight offers currently, including from Penn State, Nebraska, Texas A&M, West Virginia and Ole Miss. The big thing to watch here is he's planning a week of visits during his spring break. On March 21 he'll be at Alabama, March 22 at Ole Miss, March 23 at Georgia and he'll cap the trip March 26 with a visit to Cincinnati.

Don't know about you, but to me, that says something that he wants to see three SEC schools in a row, then go out of his way to get to Clifton. That will be his first time seeing the Bearcats in-person. And as of now, it sounds like it's UC's run of recent success that really has his attention. McLeod said he's watched a few games and he likes the way the team plays.

Assistant coach Colin Hitschler is the primary recruiter here and who gave McLeod the offer. McLeod didn't have a ton to say about Hitschler, but they've really only talked a few times, because of NCAA rules. He did say that he felt like Hitschler was a good guy and he's excited to get to know him more.

The one school to watch here most is West Virginia. That's the only one he's visited of late, last weekend. McLeod's brother, Saint McLeod, is a sophomore safety there. Tre said it wouldn;t make a huge impact on his decision, but even subsconsciously, I think it has to some. And he did visit there last weekend.

I think McLeod is a long way from any decision, which is what I expected since he's a 2024 kid. But UC has gotten in at a good time, before he blows up. And getting him on campus, after he sees those SEC schools is a very good sign.

Full story coming.
