Hey guys, I literally just got off the phone with another recent visitor and this one would be a big get: four-star guard William Satterwhite. He told me he's up to 29 scholarship offers right now.
I mean, this kid would be big-time. Satterwhite visited UC last Friday (March 31) for the second time. He said he was also on campus in September for the Indiana game. But a lot has changed since then. New staff, obviously, but he also didn't have an offer at the time. That came in November, then he was quickly re-offered when Scott Satterfield got the job.
Satterwhite told me he liked hearing the plans the coaches said they had for the Bearcats program. He also liked the academic center and the facility improvements being made. Assistant coach Nic Cardwell has been the primary contact here and Satterwhite told me, "He's like a goofy older brother." I took that as a big compliment from Satterwhite. He also told me UC is "one of the better schools I've seen."
All that said, UC has a ton of competition here. Recently, Saterwhite visited Tennessee, Louisville, Michigan and Michigan State. He'll be at Auburn tomorrow, Alabama Monday, Georgia Tuesday, Clemson Wednesday and Friday at Penn State. Next week is his spring break.
Satterwhite had good things to say about his other most recent stops, Louisville and Tennessee. So right now, it's tough to get a gauge on if anyone is in a better position right now. I do think UC will make any top list cut and should be in the top 5 right now. But there's no way I can say anything more definitive than that. He also plans to be at the Rivals Camp in Cincinnati April 23, so UC could get another visit as a result.
Full story coming.
