Good question posed by our friend at our SMU site: Did UC deserve to be in the NIT? Personally, I think not. I mean, I know the Bearcats came on late in the season, but still went 12-11 overall and are No. 124 in NET ranking, with just one quadrant one win, which was Wichita State.
