Hey all, I caught up with one of UC's recent offers, Navarre (Fla.) four-star athlete Zavier Hamilton. He's got some impressive offers, at No. 214 in the Rivals250 and I'm wondering if the Bearcats aren't a little too late here.

Hamilton said he doesn't know much about UC at the moment, but he's intrigued. Partly, that's because his mom is from Ohio and he has family there (didn't specify which part), but Hamilton has never visited UC. Still, he really liked talking with assistant coach Derek Nicholson, who offered the scholarship and called him "an amazing person, fantastic man." But they just spoke for the first time, when Nicholson offered this week.
It's not over for UC here by any means. But I see too late, because Hamilton talked a lot about getting ready to drop a top 10 and that "I have one or two that I really like." Based on our conversation, I'd have to say that's Clemson and Auburn. He's been to Clemson three times, including for two games last fall and just had nothing but good things to say about the Tigers. I actually think that's the leader. But Hamilton also said he loves visiting Auburn and said that while he has no visits planned, that's where he wants to get next, to get to know Hugh Freeze and the new coaches brought in there.
If the Bearcats can get him up this spring, they have a chance. I don't see it happening for an upcoming junior day. Hamilton said he plays 7-on-7 right now and has a tournament in Dallas Jan. 29, which will likely keep him from visiting Auburn or anywhere else that weekend, but I think he's at Auburn not long after that.
Full story coming.
