Moeller tight end Doug Bates tells me he has committed to the Bearcats. Really nice pick up. I am on my way to the camp at UC today but I will have more later.

The depth chart has been released with the bearcats due to report sunday Aug 10th and head to camp higher grounf Aug 11th.

Soon after the tweet was retweeted a favorite by MIssissippi WR Jaylen Smith making him the likely one it is about. Should be a guy to keep an eye on even tho Uc had only planned on taking 3 WRs.

Class of 2015 three-star offensive tackle Evan Mallory of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy has reached his decision of where he'll attend schools and is set to make his announcement sometime early next week. The 6-foot-5, 312-pound Mallory said it came down to two schools - Cincinnati and Louisville.

Mallory will announce his decision at the Academy either Monday or Tuesday. He cited close proximity to home in Brownsburg, Ind. as a major deciding factor. Both of his finalists are approximately two hours from there.

Just heard from the coach at Lyndhurst (Ohio) Brush that Cincinnati has picked up a commitment from three-star LB Matthew Draper.

Per Tom Groeschen: Mark Barr, Javon Harrison, Marcus Foster, and Drake Bruns will no longer be playing football for UC due to medical reasons but all 4 will remain on scholarship. As most know Barr and Harrison were two of the three players in the car crash last season with the third player being Ben Flick. Sad to hear these four guys can no longer play Barr being a WR and the other three playing DB.

It seems the way the players will earn their scholarships is by helping out with the team, some will help in the weight room.

I caught up with Elijah Ball after his camp performance at Cincinnati for Under the Lights. The Bearcats are still in it, but I'm beginning to see this one trend away from UC. Elijah really covets that Northwestern offer. My update is below:
