Guys, I talked earlier with one of the Bearcats' more recent offers, safety Cornell Allen. He has a ton of offers, though I'm not sure if all are committable. And some aren't full athletic offers, but academic offers.
Allen, though, is setting up official visits and has four planned: Charlotte June 2, UCONN June 16, Arizona State June 8 and Eastern Michigan June 22. Right now, he said he's unsure if he'll take more visits. As a reminder, starting July 1, recruits can take unlimited official visits. But it sounds like the other two schools in play here are UC and Kansas.
UC offered Allen on May 16 and three days later he put the Bearcats in his top 10, along with the schools mentioned and Missouri, Indiana, Pitt and UCF. Allen has never been to Clifton and said he doesn't know much about UC except for the move to the Big 12. But it sounds like what has him interested is he told me, "some of the players have been texting me, trying to get me on a visit." I'm not sure which recruits specifically have reached out most, but I do know all of the commits have reached out in some way. So I think an official visit could happen that last weekend in June.
Again, Kansas is the one I'd really watch here. If Allen waits, he can visit KU this fall. Or, he could decide to visit there the last weekend in June instead of UC, which would put the Jayhawks squarely in front.
So, it sounds like a lot hinges on that last weekend in June and where he chooses to visit. He could decide after that, or he could go into the fall. But since Allen wants to decide in July, I think where he goes that last weekend will be the favorite.
