Guys, he's been avoiding me for whatever reason, but our friend Justin Rowland at CatsIllustrated.com has the latest on three-star Jonathan Allen, who officially visited UC this past weekend.
So, GREAT news for the Bearcats on this one. Allen told me almost two weeks ago that he had a top three of Cincinnati, Kentucky and Indiana. Officially visited Indiana last month. He had an official planned this weekend to Lexington.
The good news is that Allen said he is cancelling his trip to Kentucky this coming weekend. He said Indiana was nice but he loved his Bearcats visit. Allen said he knows UC wants him (and they are trying to get his sister in school too I guess, whatever that means). Kentucky and Indiana "say" they want him but they haven't been as consistent or convincing as the Bearcats, it seems. As far as his visit this past weekend, Allen said UC was 'outstanding.'
Sources tell us that the Wildcats haven't given up on him. They're still working on him, his mom, too, to try to get him to officially visit one of the next two weekends. It sounds like Allen's mom is open to Allen visiting Kentucky, but it's 50/50 on if that will happen or not. Sources tell us Allen will announce his decision next week, unless he has some change of heart between now and then. If it tells you anything, I'm putting Allen as a FutureCast to Cincinnati, based on this new intel and my previous talks with Allen. I'll still keep reaching out and will have more to report when available.
