Hey guys, I caught up earlier with Northmont (OH) three-star OL Jayden Clark. He last visited UC in September for the Miami (OH) game, but I'm hearing his name a bit more in source circles with the staff.
Login to view embedded media Clark is at 7 offers now, but I do think UC is currently in the best spot here. Clark said the Bearcats made his visit feel "exclusive" to him and his family and teammates who visited for the game. He told me he loved the atmosphere at Nippert Stadium, but also the academics and the support for student-athletes. Clark said he knows the Big 12 move has been tough so far, but that "they’re gonna improve and get guys that will help in the long run."

Assistant coach Nic Cardwell has been the main recruiter here so far. And Clark said he likes how genuine Cardwell seems, that he's a guy who will truly look out for and help his players. Clark told me a couple of times about the family vibe.

The only other visit Clark took this season was the season-opener to Penn State. And he had a lot of positives about that experience. But this week, Clark will visit Kentucky and if the Wildcats offer, that's an immediate contender. Long way to go, though. No even talk of any list of favorites or anyone standing out. But again, proximity, plus getting that early visit will bode well here for UC.

Full story coming.

Hoops Recruiting Travis Perry Details UC Official

Really like talking to this kid. Just an easy-going guy who has already set the Kentucky state high school scoring record. Decision could come as soon as next week:

Hoops Steve Logan on Radio Crew

Hey y'all, I meant to post this yesterday. Steve Logan will be on the radio broadcast for UC hoops this season:

The Cincinnati Athletics Department, iHeart Media and Bearcats Sports Properties are pleased to welcome former consensus First-Team All-American Steve Logan to its radio team for several home broadcasts this season.

Logan, a 2010 inductee into Cincinnati Athletics' James P. Kelly Hall of Fame, will serve as an analyst for home games with Dan Hoard when fellow former Bearcat Terry Nelson is on the ESPN+ call. Nelson will resume his radio duties during home linear ESPN broadcasts and all road games.

"I'm excited and so thankful that the school, coaches and iHeart Media are giving me the opportunity to talk basketball for my alma mater," Logan said. "I'm also excited to be next to Dan Hoard, the GOAT of Cincinnati sports, and everyone loves him. I'm eager to learn a new craft and speak about the game and get in tune with the team as well."

Logan was a two-time Conference USA Player of the Year winner and ranks third at UC with 1,985 points, including 22.0 ppg as a senior. He also helped the Bearcats to five NCAA Tournament wins over four appearances. Logan's school records include the most wins (111), highest career free-throw percentage (86.1 percent) and most single-game assists (16) among many decorated achievements.

"We are thrilled to have Steve join legendary Cincinnati Bearcats play-by-play man Dan Hoard," Joe Fredrick, iHeart Media's Director of Sports Marketing, said. "Steve is on the Mt. Rushmore of UC Basketball as one of the greatest to ever do it in Clifton. We are excited for Steve to share his knowledge of the game with the countless number of listeners throughout WLW country!"

Bearcats Sports Properties, the locally based team of LEARFIELD – manages the exclusive multimedia rights for Cincinnati Athletics and recently extended its long-term partnership with iHeart Media and 700 WLW to continue to be the radio home of the Bearcats.

Cincinnati begins its inaugural Big 12 season Monday, Nov. 6 against UIC at 9 p.m
